Pink Fuzz dominates this island. Pink Fuzz is the assumption of moral superiority by a self-styled elite who presume to judge the rest of us through their reality-distorting pink fuzzy glasses. One example is the refusal to discuss the technical aspects of the Raven mine because emotionally "we" have decided it is wrong. Socialism is the proper order of things. Logic and arithmetic are subservient to emotion.
When I wrote articles for the First Edition (Pink Fuzz Journal) they were fully researched and well crafted. Sometimes I spent months on them. But virtually every one of them was published with an editorial note that I should not be trusted and the reader should do their own research and check the facts. Translation: you are annoying the establishment. So when I decided to stop being insulted by this, and wrote my "pink fuzz" letter, I wondered how many others agreed with me. I have been astounded by the response - some surprising people have come up to me and a lot of them have said "good for you, I agree but I gave up fighting it". Also a lot said they no longer think there is anything worth reading in the Pink Fuzz Journal. We vastly outnumber the cat society.

I do not know where this is going. It would be my hope that a new Blue Reality Journal might arise (whence the logo). I am not going to organize it but will be happy to work with anyone who wants to do so. I would like to see Don Nixon give the PFJ some serious competition.
Is this the end? No, it is the beginning. I have this website which I will use. Pete Kimmerly and I have been researching the cable ferry proposal and will have a report about the cable ferry in Island Tides in early January. Do I miss the PFJ? No. Trying to seriously explore an issue in 600 words is a joke anyway. As is putting up with poor quality printing, distorted fomatting and insults.
